A According to its statutes, the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) is an institution focused on the creation, communication and transmission of culture, knowledge, science and technology, through the articulation with study, teaching, research and experimental development.

The Association for the Development of Industrial Aerodynamics (ADAI) is a nonprofit private institution created in 1990 and associated to the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra, which promotes activities of research, development, demonstration, training and monitoring services to the industry.
